While every year there is legislation affecting PERA, here are the major pieces of legislation that have changed the way PERA functions in recent years.

SB10-1 was first of its kind legislation to reform. Secure PERA worked closely with the Legislature and PERA to re-invest in PERA and stabilize it through shared responsibility that was equitable to all participants.

SB18-200 was a comprehensive overhaul of PERA that included contribution increases for employees and employers.  Its goal was to ensure full funding within 30 years.
