Secure PERA opposes Senate Bill 68 and on January 17th the PERA board voted to oppose the bill as well.

Senate Bill 68 would change the retirement eligibility for all new employees after December 31, 2016. Members, with the exception of State Troopers, would be required to have 30 years of service and be age 65 to receive a full service retirement benefit. Secure PERA opposes this bill and any bill that would change the shared sacrifice we achieved in Senate Bill 1.
